指四在野党结盟如“抱团防沉船” 前进党:陈仲熙言论不代表该党立场

据《海峡时报》报导指其中一名新加坡前进党要员,揶揄近期四在野党有意组盟,实则为“抱团防沉船”;不过前进党随即澄清,有关该党中委陈仲熙的个人言论,不代表前进党秘书长陈清木医生以及其他中委的立场。

该党在今日(15日)发文指出:“我们诚挚敬仰其他在野党和领袖们多年来的付出及牺牲,为更美好家国而努力。”

前进党称,陈仲熙是该党创党中委之一,他是在与一群友人群组闲聊时,以玩笑方式说出上述言论,群组中成员也包括拟议组盟的在野党人士在内。不过这番言论却被广传并被主流媒体报导。

陈如斯则在接受《海时》采访时重申,那仅是他的个人意见。

至于陈清木在早前被媒体追问结盟一事,后者仅表示尽管获得邀请,不过目前仍先专注扎稳前进党团队的脚跟

他坦言群众都希望看到在野党团结一致,不过具体以什么形式组成联盟,他仍保持开放态度。

“我仍在组建我的团队,他们可以做他们想做的… 但我们在看更大的格局。”

在早前本社英语站的一篇政治文章,也引述陈仲熙观点,后者认为就形同“四位船长,在各自将沉之小艇–甚至不算是船!他们互相握紧手避免溺水”。

不过,有关文章也质疑拟议中的联盟是否具备效益,以及如何让各盟党都能透过组盟获得优势。

与此同时,尽管组盟可能是为了避免三、四角战的不利局面,不过各党需思考是否能派出能获得群众支持的候选人、人力物力等等。

此前,同样是《海峡时报》报导,指国人为先党(Singaporean First Party)、民主进步党(DPP)、人民力量党(PPP)和革新党,计划组成联盟迎战来届大选,甚至点名国人为先党秘书长、也是前总统候选人的陈如斯,料将被推举为盟主。

不过,陈如斯在本月8日,随即回应《海时》根本未曾采访他,不知后者是怎么拿到新闻资料的。他仅表示组盟的想法,早在去年11月2日,在陈清木召开的一项会面上,数个政党都知道有者向陈清木献议结盟一事。

他仅表示结盟仍属概念,且未有正式的“盟主”,他仅是扮演联系其他政党的角色。
