雇佣未公平考量国人 杨莉明称雇主将面对更严厉惩处

人力部长杨莉明声称,那些在雇佣雇员时未公平考量或歧视本地人的雇主,在新近更新的公平考量框架(FCF)将面对更严重惩处。

若在招揽员工时未公平考量本地人,雇主将被禁止雇佣外籍员工至少一年,较严重案例还可把禁令延长至两年;被禁期间也不能为现有外籍员工更新就业准证。

有关公平考量框架的更新措施在本月生效,杨莉明认为这些举措将对于那些顽固雇主起到较强烈的震慑作用。

她是在今日(14日)出席Salesforce平台专业人士转业计划毕业典礼上,这么表示。

杨莉明称大部分公司都已理解何谓公平雇佣,而严厉举措则是针对那些仍以为公平考量框架只是“纸上谈兵”的顽固雇主。

至于那些在为雇员申请就业准证涉嫌虚报资料的雇主,也可能被提控。

在雇用外来人力法令下,若雇主谎报资料,可面对监禁两年,或最高2万元罚款,或两者兼施。

在公平考量框架下,要求雇主为那些月薪1万5000元以下的工作,须在职业库(Jobs Bank)刊登求职广告,为期两周。
