非礼惯犯屡重犯 法官狠批“关越久越好”

非礼案惯犯再次犯案,法官认为他的存在对年轻女性构成威胁,应该被关押得越久越好。

38岁的被告吴坤勇(Lawrence Goh Koon Yong译音),于今天(8日)在庭上,被指控他于去年非礼了一名在回家途中的中一女学生,并在电梯内询问一名陌生女学生是否要和他性交,还在一个组屋单位偷走鞋子,他一一表示认罪。

此前,被告曾经被控非礼八名女性,之前已审讯,原定于今日判刑。

然而,基于法官要求对被告的预防性监禁或改造型监禁,征询更多意见,且一名律师表示愿意为被告提供无偿服务,以致判刑日期被押后到下个月19日。预防性监禁是一种惩罚,是为了保护民众免受罪犯侵害,而将顽固不改的罪犯判入狱七至20年;改造型监禁则是长期监禁,不给予重犯者缓刑。

“让他在我们社区活动,你觉得安全?”

法官指被告屡屡犯案,不禁问控方,“他在我们的社区行走,你会觉得安全吗?”。他也表示,被告对年轻女性构成危险,更列出受害者的年龄,大多数受害者都是十余岁的少女。

法官表示,被告的存在令民众感到不安,因此他认为有必要让被告远离社区,越久越好。

另一方面,当时在场为另一宗案件进行辩护的律师拉克什(Rakesh Pokkan Vasu),表示愿意为被告提供无偿服务,因此法官宣布将案件延至2月19日下判。

被告承认于去年10月,骚扰一名正在回家路上的13岁少女。他当时自后方靠近女子,询问她的年龄以及是否有男友、是否愿意到黑暗的角落学习等。他随后表示要当少女的男友,并抓住她的腰部,吓坏了少女。少女当时急忙跑回家。

在去年11月,被告和一名19岁少女乘坐同一个电梯时,试图接近对方,并询问对方是否想和他性交。

少女当时给了被告电话号码,并在被告拨电见面时,提前通知警方,将后者逮捕归案。

若侮辱未成年人士尊严罪成,被告将有可能面对出超过五年的监禁、罚款、鞭刑,或多者兼施。
