There are animal lovers who say “Hi” to any animal they come across, and then there are people like Jason Lau who go the extra mile to make sure the animals are well taken care of.
Recently, Jason Lau, a Malaysian residing in Singapore, shared his heartwarming experience of cooking a hot meal for a pack of stray dogs as a means of keeping them warm during the cold and rainy season.
Mr Lau posted a series of pictures in the Facebook group Adopt Dogs and Cats in Singapore on Sunday (15 Dec) along with the caption, “It’s raining these two days. The weather is so cold …. cook a hot dinner for them.”
The pictures show a hearty meal being prepared and later served to some stray dogs.
At the time of writing, the post has garnered more than 450 shares. Under the comment section, netizens commended the heart-of-gold action of Mr Lau and thanked him for putting the extra effort to care for the stray dogs.
Meanwhile, Singaporeans can expect moderate to heavy thundery showers for the rest of 2019.
The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) has shared on Monday (16 Dec) that the country and the surrounding region are currently in the wet phase of the Northeast Monsoon season.
It said that this phase is expected to prevail into January 2020 before transitioning to the dry phase of the season (February – mid-March).
Showers are likely around the Christmas period. Overall, the rainfall for December 2019 is expected to be well above average.
What’s more, in the last fortnight of 2019, the daily temperatures are forecasted to range between 24°C and 33°C on most days and could dip to a low of around 23°C on a few days.
