政府斥资1亿元发展地铁员工人力,减轻铁路公司的运营成本

为提升新加坡铁路工人的培训,扩大铁路工人的技能,政府将斥资1亿新元的地铁人力发展配套(Rail Manpower Development Package,简称RMDP),以减轻铁路公司的营运成本。

基础建设统筹部长兼交通部长许文远在上周五(8日)宣布RMDP将成为未来五年捷运与轻轨的主要培训资金。

“运营商目前的财务状况并不佳,为了避免培训课程被压制,政府将透过陆交局进行联合投资,提高员工的生产力与更好的完成工作,提升通勤的服务水平”,许文远表示。

则也是为了应付未来10年将增减三条新地铁线,所需的劳动队伍。

SMRT地铁( SMRT Trains)此前在官网公布数据,截至今年三月的2019财年,该公司蒙受1亿5500万元的巨额亏损。

据陆交局表示,RMDP是为铁路运营商与全国运输工人工会的桥梁,确保跟进所有培训课程,并在投资各项的硬件设备如模拟器与虚拟现实工具,让员工能够在接近真实的情况下训练。

全国运输工人工会执行秘书杨益财则对政府的举措相当满意,称工会在人力培训上投入许多资金,实现了部分的计划。

杨益财表示,“我们意识到,铁路运营商面临维护投资与人力培训的两难,但若要打招世界级的公共交通系统,势必需要由世界级人才的建造。”

新捷运首席运营官(COO)钟锡坚强调,目前1500名新捷运运输员工中已有16名获得机器人和自动化技能的培训课程。新捷运首席执行官Lee Ling Wee称该计划如同助推器,协助公司员工能够持续提升技能,发展捷运成为更好的公共交通工具。

此外,许文远表示,预计在未来十年内增建三条新路线,即汤申—东海岸线、裕廊区域线和跨岛线,到时地铁网络将预计约延长130公里至360公里,即指每10家住户中,就有8家住户只需要走路10分钟既能抵达地铁站。
