因停车费引争执视频流传 摩根大通吁员工保持素养

员工因为10元隔夜停车费和保安人员起争执,新加坡全球金融服务公司摩根大通(J.P. Morgan)发出邮件,呼吁员工提高个人素质,包括尊重他人及自重。

摩根大通是针对于周末(10月26日)在社交媒体上流传,有关一名印裔男子基于朋友来访,却为了0元隔夜停车费和保安人员起争执,无礼表示自己花大钱(150万元)买下公寓,却要为了停车费被为难。

印裔男子也以上位者的口气“命令”保安人员,让公寓管理层联络他,甚至说出类似种族主义的言论。然而,面对其咆哮和无礼,保安人员只是坚持立场地表示,“我只是在执行责任”。

虽然最后印裔男妥协了,上了朋友的车子到地下停车场,但是有关的视频已经在网上疯传,甚至成为了隔日新闻的头条之一。

据悉,有关事件发生在文庆一带的Eight Riversuites 公寓,而印裔男子也被网民起底,是一名来自印度的专才拉美斯(Ramesh Erramalli),曾经在我国的摩根大通工作。

拒绝公布员工细节

据《海峡时报》指出,当局已意识到有关视频的流传,并且正视有关问题,惟,他们拒绝对拉美斯的工资和在该公司就职时间作出回应。

有关的电邮是由跨国投资银行的新加坡总部高级官员,Edmund Lee所发出,旨在提醒我国员工在日常生活中,也必须保持尊重他人的态度。

“我们的员工、服务和诚信操守,让摩根大通成为全球最受尊敬的金融机构之一。我们每个人都拥有共同责任,去维护和建立这个声誉……我们全部……都应把持着最高水准的表现,包括在职场外也尊重他人和自重。”

虽然文中没有指出所针对的事项,但是在有关视频疯传后,不难推测电邮由来。

当受询及有关电子邮件时,摩根大通周日(27日)向《海时》表示,正在调查有关视频,并且拒绝透露员工的任何细节。

摩根成网民攻击对象

另一方面,自从有关视频传开后,摩根大通的脸书页面就充斥着来自新加坡网民的愤怒评论。

针对上周末发生的事件,网民也分享其想法,认为拉美斯先生的粗俗行为和暴躁个性,也反映了该公司的形象,同时放大了新加坡外国人才的逾越行为。

这篇帖文,获得超过2000个评论。

有关谴责其员工的言论,几乎对摩根大通抱有敌意,然而在针对雇佣外国人才政策上,几乎国人更有立场说话。

此外,网民也嘲讽当局在筛选员工时不够谨慎,甚至暗示拉美斯在其职业简介中提供了假讯息,这暗示也在新加坡电脑硬软件论坛(Singapore Hardware Zone forum)上爆发了争议。

有者还恶搞地发起投票,让网民决定是否让拉美士离开我国摩根大通总部,截至目前有2万7000人投票,82巴仙赞同让拉美斯离开。

有趣的是,网民指出,摩根大通在其脸书页面的帖文中,竟然选择性地隐藏了许多网民不忿的评论。

如前所述,有关帖文获得了逾2000评论,但网民表示,有将近800个评论被隐藏或删除,或被举报为垃圾邮件。

视频主角都已报警

有关事件的两名主角,据悉都已经报警了。

保安人员是于事发后,就开始报警备案;拉美斯则表示,自从视频传出后,他就接获超过200通骚扰电话,令其烦不胜烦,已经报警处理。
