浪费空间!国大建筑客座教授非议有盖走道设计

新加坡国立大学建筑系客座教授郑庆顺,周日(13日)在脸书发文非议我国一些有盖人行道的设计。他在贴文分享照片,指某有盖走道至少一米的空间没有被善用,是“糟糕的设计”。

“如果能够将柱子安放在挡土墙的顶端,并将排水沟覆盖上,人行道的宽度会更宽,而且成本反而更低。”

在发文的数分钟后,郑庆顺再次上传另一张不同的人行道照片,更指该人行道的设计比起上一张更适合。

“这个设计更好,有更多的空间,柱子在边缘以此去掉笨拙的基础建设。”他表示。

另一方面,脸书专页《Singaporeans supporting the government because of covered walkways”》也分享了郑庆顺的帖文,揶揄行人道的糟糕设计。

该专页过去也常讽喻政府,如何宣传行人道的贡献以捞取更多选票。

尽管行人道设计并非什么“宏观大计”,但值得注意的是,郑庆顺拿出的例子,只不过是国内许多常见的有盖走道之一。这种设计可能是往往雨盖棚都是在行人道建成后,才开始追加修建。

有盖走道通常会涉及多个部门。例如陆交局负责建设和维护的走道,将交通节点与附近的设施链接起来。

建屋局则负责为住宅楼宇到徒步商业区提供有盖走道。这些设施通道盖好后,会由市镇会使用自身资金,或从建屋局邻里更新等计划下维护和扩建。

因此,如果人行道对居民的生活如此重要,那何不在建屋局作出城镇规划时就一并把人行道规划好,而不是之后由市镇会自行承担后期建设?
