与业者商讨提升安全措施 陆交局再延PMD执照申请结果

为了确保公众安全获得保障,共享脚踏车和个人代步工具(PMD)营业执照的申请结果,再次延后公布。

陆路交通管理局昨日发文告指出,将再次延后公布申请结果,因为当局为了确保公众安全获得提升,正在和相关业者进行措施探讨。

申请共享脚踏车和个人代步工具营业执照的业者多达12家,包括有Anywheel、Neuron Mobility、Telepod、Omni Sharing和MOOV Mobility等。

这是陆交局第二次延后宣布营业执照的申请结果,原本结果预计将在年中宣布,但是当局曾于6月指出,延迟到9月,即今年第三季才公布结果。惟,当局并没有指出延迟宣布结果的原因。

活跃通勤咨询小组呈五建议

另一方面,为了加强公共道路安全,活跃通勤咨询小组在检讨活跃通勤条例上,对政府提出了五大建议。

有关的建议包括规定电动踏板车骑士们必须年满16岁及以上、在公路上骑行前必须通过理论测试,且必须购买保险。

针对有人建议在所有个人代步工具上安装追踪器,探测骑士的所在位置和行驶速度,陆交局表示虽然我国已经研发这方面的科技,但是要实施起来“比较困难”。

陆交局指出,为了确保有关的设备不会被他人刻意损坏,或者改造影响数据的准确性,当局还需要作进一步的研究。

随着涉及电动踏板的事故和火患不断发生,并不难了解陆交局要再次展延营业执照申请报告的结果,尤其是在最近的意外中已导致一名六旬妇女丧命。

有关的意外也引起网民的关注和愤怒,甚至举办签名运动,抵制个人代步工具,而提呈对象为陆交局、总理李显龙和内政暨律政部长尚穆根。
