Ten women, aged between 25 and 43, were arrested during a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Rangoon Road, Maude Road, Magazine Road, Anson Road, South Beach Road and Chinatown on 20 and 21 June 2019.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) stated in a press release on Monday (24 June) that the three licensed massage establishments were found to have contravened licensing conditions during the enforcement checks conducted by Central Police Division.

Three women, aged between 28 and 43, were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter, noted the police.

During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets, the police found two outlets to contravene public entertainment licensing conditions.

In these outlets, seven women, aged between 25 and 34, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

The police said that investigations are ongoing.

SPF stated that actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act and Public Entertainment Act.

It stressed that the police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement action against those found breaking the law.
