新加坡成热门地!香港富豪忧“送中”影响急撤资海外

当香港示威仍如火如荼进行着,抗议要求撤回《逃犯条例》修法,许多商业巨头也纷纷将资产往外转移,其中热门地点是新加坡。

据《金融时报》20日报导,提及过去新加坡交易所(SGX)的执行副总裁周士达曾在去年3月指出,尽管香港证券及期货事务监察委员会否认,但他们确实受中国证券监督管理委员会管制,指香港是“半离岸市场”。

周士达也认为,从2017年加拿大籍华侨萧建华被不明人士从其所在的香港的四季酒店带走,并被押解回内地,关押在北京配合调查可见,意味着香港已不再是高净值人士的安全场所。

萧建华是中国著名投资公司“明天系”的幕后控制人。经过他多年的幕后活动,“明天系”拥有数家在中国大陆上市的公司,以及无数分布全国各地的分公司,成为中国大陆数一数二的资本操作代表。

新加坡和香港一直都在竞争亚洲金融中心的地位。

忧资产被中国移走,香港富豪纷撤资

一名协助资产转移的财务顾问向《路透社》透露,已有富豪将逾一亿美金(约1亿3600万新元)从香港的花旗银行,转入新加坡的花旗银行。他表示,“已经开始了,我们也听到了其他人这么做,但不会有人到处声张他们要离开。”

“他们恐惧北京政府将会透过香港对付他们,将他们的资产移走,而新加坡也成为他们首选之地。”该名财务顾问表示。

一名匿名国际银行的私人银行业务执行经理也证实,转移资产的人均属香港人居多,而不是那些可能“被政治曝光”的大陆客户。

“如今香港现况已开始不受控,他们无法相信特首林郑月娥与北京领导者如此愚蠢,无法预见对经济严重损坏的情况。”他说道。

香港美国商会(American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong)的主席泰纳(Tara Joseph )17日向《消费者新闻与商业频道》(CNBC)指出,就连许多商业业务都被迫转向新加坡或其他商业地区,趁中国还未“侵扰“香港之前。

《CNBC》也获匿名者爆料,当公司决定要将研究团队迁移新加坡时,就接获有“来自大陆的强大势力“,因公司研究团队的性质,考虑将援引《逃犯条例》对付他们。

据《CNBC》报道,香港房产投资者Portwood Capital执行长卓百德(Peter Churchouse)观察表示,许多企业纷纷将公司的区域总部,转移至其他亚洲国家,大部分都转向新加坡。

“这当然会影响香港的经济“,百德表示,尤其对房产中的高端住宅客群以及广告商。

新加坡从中受惠?

新加坡国大商学院治理制度与机构研究中心的主任卢耀群也向《金融时报》表示,尽管《逃犯条例》令商企感到不安,但威胁并非来自香港示威活动,反而是因香港自治的终结脚步声越来越近。

然而,《法新社》引用卢耀群之说,“我不认为(香港)的不确定性和信心流失的程度,已到达一发不可收拾的临界点。”

自1960年代开始,因经济快速成长与工业化,香港与新加坡被誉为是“亚洲四小龙”的两大巨头。

瑞士信贷集团去年曾公布,香港在私人财富方面拥有较厚实的基底,香港身家超过一亿美元的高净值个体,比内地还要多超过一倍。
