CCL Train disruption / Photo: Ho Jun Yi‎’s post on TATA SMRT Facebook

Another train disruption happened for the second time on Friday (15 March), this time in the evening along the Circle Line (CCL) – following this morning delays along the East West Line (EWL).

The commuters and Admin of TATA SMRT Facebook posted questions and information on the train delays:

Yongjian Koh wrote at 7:28pm: “Circle line (towards Dobhy Ghaut) is stopping at each station for 5 mins. It’s even stopping in between stations. Anyone knows what happened?”

Wayne Chew wrote at 7:31pm: “No train between Dhoby Ghaut/Marina Bay- stadium.”

Alan Charles Yap‎ [ADMIN] shared a link to SMRT’s tweet, he wrote at 7:31pm: “[CCL] Due to a signal fault, no trains service is available between #DhobyGhaut/#Marina Bay and #Stadium. Free regular bus is available between #DhobyGhaut/#Marina Bay and #PayaLebar.”

At 7:30pm SMRT tweeted its official announcement on the CCL delay, mentioning signal fault as the cause:

LOOK OUT FOR THE ORANGE BLINKER LIGHT AS AN INDICATION FOR FREE RIDES. DO NOT PAY ANY FARE UPON BOARDING. THERE IS NO BUS BRIDGING ACTIVATED FOR NOW, SO PLEASE DO NOT WAIT FOR THE SHUTTLE BUS. UPDATES TO FOLLOW.

At 8:43pm SMRT informed the CCL train service has resumed, free regular bus & free bridging bus services were still available:
