A short train delay occurred along the East West Line this morning (26 Feb), passengers informed it was caused by a track fault at Outram.

On TATA SMRT Facebook Tommy Soon wrote about the delay:

Tommy Soon wrote at 8:24am: “Seem like there is a delay at Redhill/Tiong Bahru area. Train stop more then 5 mins. Towards Paris Ris side. Anybody facing the same thing?”

He again wrote at 8:27am: “Announcement just made. Track fault so moving at slower speed.”

And he added at 8:30am: “Seem like gt train jam.”

At 8:33 Shirley Woon replied to Tommy Soon: “Track fault at Outram.”

There’s no other information about the incident from passengers on the Facebook; on Twitter only Darren Cai made a short post:

SMRT did not announce about the fault on its social media platform but there were no other post afterward from commuters; seemed the fault has been taken care of.
