The statement for Budget 2019 will be delivered by Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat in the middle of next month.

While it is apparent that the announcement regarding the Budget statement was made by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) through its social media channels, an official press release on the MOF website has yet to be seen at press time on Tuesday (1 Jan)

According to MOF’s press release which was eventually published on Wednesday morning, the statement is scheduled to be broadcast live on 18 Feb via radio and television, and that a live webcast will be made available on the Singapore Budget website.

MOF’s social media pages on Facebook and Twitter will also be submitting updates regarding the statement in real-time.

Feedback solicitations from the public regarding the Budget, which commenced early last month, will end in nine days from now on 11 Jan, added the Ministry.

The public’s views regarding the Budget are collected through the Internet and in-person, namely through the Singapore Budget 2019 website, Reach’s Budget 2019 microsite and email, and at events where feedback can be given through Listening Points, which are public booths set up by Reach.

Singaporeans can look forward to the two remaining Listening Points this month, which will be held at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Management University’s Li Ka Shing Library on the 8th and 10th respectively, in addition to supplying feedback online through the aforementioned channels.

Feedback can also be channelled through Reach’s toll-free hotline 1800 353 5555, which is open from 8.30am to 5.45pm on weekdays, or via SMS at 9773 2587.
