The train service along the East West Line (EWL) experienced delay on Thursday (27 Dec) morning. There were no official information on the delay from SMRT and only one post from a commuter. Track fault apparantly was mentioned as the cause.

Gerald Huang wrote that the West bound trains stopped between City Hall and Raffles Place for 4 minutes when he posted the information on the TATA SMRT Facebook platform:

Gerald Huang wrote at 08:20: “East West line, westbound, stopped between city hall and raffles place for the past 4 mins.”

There were no other post on social media platforms about the train delay but TOC got a forwarded email complaining on the delay. Terence Lim wrote that even a foreign talent standing opposite him looked pissed before alighting at Raffles Place.

“How are you gonna attract more foreign talents if the infrastructure is so crappy?,” Mr Lim wrote.

He also wrote that old system had track fault but new system also has track fault. He opined that the top officials is overpaid and doing too little, while the lower workers are underpaid and doing too much.
