SBS Transit has shared that it will extend the operational hours of the North East Line (NEL) and the Downtown Line (DTL) as well as 25 selected bus services on Christmas eve (24 December).

SBS Transit also said that it will also be making changes to the evening schedules of 12 bus services operating from the city/ business district to the heartlands.

On Monday (24 December), train services on the NEL and DTL will be extended by about one-and-a-quarter hours. The last train on the NEL headed towards Punggol will depart HarbourFront Station at 1.18 am while the last train towards HarbourFront will leave Punggol Station at 12.47 am.

The Sengkang/Punggol LRT systems will also run until after the last NEL train arrives at their respective Town Centre Stations.

On the Downtown Line, the last train towards Expo Station will depart Bukit Panjang Station at 12.50 am while the last train in the opposite direction will leave Expo Station at 12.44 am.

Meanwhile, to complement the extension of train service hours, the last bus timings of 25 selected bus services – 33, 51A, 60A, 63M, 133, 181, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 410W, 804 and 812 – will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges/terminal/bus stops on Christmas eve.

On top of this, the company noted that the six Nite Owl services will be extended to operate until 4.00am.

SBS Transit also announced that twelve services – 10e, 14e, 30e, 74e, 89e, 128, 151e, 174e, 196e, 513, 655 and 850E – that operate evening trips on weekdays to ferry office workers home from the city to the heartlands will not be in operation on 24 December.

As offices will be closed earlier that day, the company noted that these services will instead operate return trips between 12.51 pm and 2.00 pm while Service 513 will run two trips at 1.12 pm and 1.27 pm with no change to the operating hours of these services for the morning trips.

Note: Nite Owl services – 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N and 6N – will also be extended to operate until 4.00am on 24 December 2018 (Source: SBS Transit website).

Earlier before, SMRT also announced the extention of the train services of North-South Line (NSL), East-West Line (EWL), Circle Lines (CCL), and Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT), as well as selected bus services on Christmas Eve.
