Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore recently launched the latest HUAWEI Mate 20 series with an exclusive sale at Causeway Point. Queues stretched to more than a thousand people in line within hours before the start of the sale.

Mr. Kishore Lal, age 39, was first in line since six in the morning. “I have been reading a number of positive reviews about the Huawei smartphone and its camera quality, so I thought i would give it a try this time around. I am really excited with the new features that the Mate 20 Pro has such as the Reverse Wireless Charging and the Leica triple camera, it’s something that I have not seen in other phones yet.”

Mr. Aeron Chang, age 34, and his wife, Mrs. Shijia Chang who are both familiar with the brand, have decided to upgrade their smartphones to the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro at the launch. “I have used the Mate 10 last year and felt that the battery performance was really good. I have been following the news and updates about the new Mate 20 Pro and was very interested to experience it for myself, especially with the new Ultra Wide Angle Lens.”

Over the years, Huawei has been steadily increasing in popularity globally and overtook Apple as the world’s second largest smartphone vendor in the second quarter this year. Closer to home, public reception has also been warming up towards the brand with sales tripling year-on-year.

“The turnout for our launch of the Mate 20 Series has been outstanding and it reinforces our position in the market as a global brand. We are deeply humbled and grateful for the growing support from our customers in Singapore,” said Mr. Cheng Jiangfei, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore.
