Commuters on the East-West Line (EWL) trains toward the city experienced train service disruptions on Monday (15 Oct) morning since around 8am.
No official information was announced by SMRT on the delay, but a shared information on social media informed that the delay was due to a faulty Platform Screen Doors (PSD) at Jurong East Platform B. Last Thursday (11 Oct) a PSD fault at Kranji station also has caused about three hours train service disruption along the North-South Line.

Other passengers took the TATA SMRT Facebook platform to inform about the delay:
Mingz Wang wrote at 8:10am: “4mins delay at Jurong East towards city, door fault.”
Aloysius J B Cruz wrote at 8:17am: “Trains are coming in very slow at Jurong East.”
At 8:22am Alvin Lee shared a post from Land Transport Guru about the EWL delay, stating 5 minutes additional travel time between Boon Lay and Jurong East due to PSD fault at Jurong East.
And at 8:32am Exley Yun also shared a post from MRT Singapore Service Information on the same Facebook platform, informing that the delay was due to an earlier faulty Platform Screen Doors at Jurong East Platform B. The journey time between Boon Lay and Jurong East, would be 5mins longer, in the direction of Pasir Ris.
The EWL service presumably returned to normal afterwards as no further information or complains posted on the social media platforms.
