In an endearing little video, Ubersnap and animal rescue organisation, Save Our Street Dog (SOSD) announced their partnership to help get more rescued dogs adopted. SOSD is a volunteer-run organisation that requires public donations to continue their mission to rescue and rehabilitate street dogs. Sparked by the recent shift to the smaller Sungei Tengah pet shelter, and a dip in adoption rates, Ubersnap reached out to SOSD Singapore to try and make a difference.

Almost everyone loves a cute image of a dog – they’re irresistible! It’s no surprise then that there are studies that show how videos and photos can really make a difference in the adoption rates and pets.

“Good photos are definitely very important, they go onto our websites, they go onto our social media because that’s where the public can have a first hand opportunity to see our dogs that are available for adoption” – Kieran Kua, SOSD Shelter Manager

So to help them out, Ubersnap decided to help out in a unique way by setting up first-in-the-world GIF-printing photo booth. These GIF-like photos give you not only a dog’s best angle but also a little glimpse into their personality which make them just that much more endearing. Hopefully, that leads to more adoptions!

“We need to reduce the number of dogs in shelter so we can rescue more. (..) We do need a lot of help to foster or adopt the dogs. If you can’t do either, you can help to spread the word, or you can actually help to volunteer and donate money” – Kieran Kua, SOSD Shelter Manager

Adopting, fostering, or sponsoring a shelter pet is an extremely rewarding experience. So, if you feel that you are able to provide a happy home for these dogs, click here to take a look at the profiles and GIFs of the dogs available for adoption. If not, you can donate to SOSD instead and spread the word!
