20 sets of soft air guns and parts were discovered at the Changi Airfreight Centre on Tuesday (24 July).

According to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), an ICA officer was conducting checks on a shipment of imported cargo on 24 July when he noticed anomalies in the scanned image of the consignment that raised his suspicions.

Further checks were then conducted which led to the discovery of the soft air guns.

ICA notes that airsoft guns are controlled items under the Arms and Explosives Act.

The case has been referred to Singapore Police Force (SPF) for investigations.
