4,300 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats in Punggol and Yishun will be offered in August 2018, said Housing and Development Board in a press release on Friday (27 July).

The board then said that a concurrent Re-Offer of Balance Flats exercise will also be held at the same time.

In the release, the board stated that in the first half of 2018, it had offered 11,373 flats, comprising 7,634 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats and 3,739 balance flats.

It noted that the Resale Price Index (RPI) rose slightly by 0.1 percent, from 131.6 in the first quarter of 2018 to 131.7 in the second quarter of 2018.

Meanwhile, resale transactions rose by 33.3 percent, from 4,458 cases in the first quarter of 2018 to 5,941 cases in the second quarter of 2018.

The board then announced the median resale prices by town and flat type, for Resale Cases Registered in the second quarter of  2018.

The board noted that the number of approved applications to rent out HDB flats rose by 2.6 percent, from 11,721 cases in the first quarter of 2018 to 12,024 cases in the second quarter of 2018.

Compared to the second quarter of 2017, the number of approved applications to rent out HDB flats in the second quarter of 2018 was 10 percent higher.

“As at 30 Jun 2018, there were 54,896 HDB flats rented out, an increase of 1 percent over 31 March 2018 (54,329 units),” it said.

The board also announced the median rents in the various towns in the second quarter of 2018.
