Minor train delay along BPLRT on Thursday morning

There was a train delay along the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (BPLRT) occurred this morning (31 May). No announcement was given by SMRT and a post from commuter said the delay was caused by ‘unknown reasons”.

At 7:34am Jordan Siah informed in a post on TATA SMRT Facebook that he thought there was a delay on BPLRT, a train towards Chua Chu Kang stopped for 1 minute and had not left:

Jordan Siah wrote: “Think there is a delay on the Bukit panjang LRT. A train stopped at the platform for 1 minute already and has not left current location: Bukit Panjang towards Choa Chu Kang.”

And John Robert Lee, sharing a post from MRT Singapore Service Information, wrote that BPLRT was expected to have delays and intermittent stopping, due to unknown reasons:

On Twitter, a passenger complained to SMRT because she was going to be late for her 8am lesson:

TOC confirmed with the twitter user that it was the LRT that she was complaining about.

However, it seemed to be a short delay because there were no further complains from commuters on social media.
