Fallen tree at Jurong West nearly lands on car, causes traffic jam

The heavy rain on Saturday (17 March) late afternoon caused the collapse of a tree at Jurong West Street 51, nearly pinning a car and obstructed traffic due to the size of the fallen foliage.

A member of the public wrote to the website to inform of this accident and said that the incident is said to have happened around 5.30pm.

Several vehicles from the Singapore Civil Defence Force were deployed to the scene.

Fortunately for the driver, the fallen tree did not land on the car itself, but the rear window screen of the car was smashed.

The driver of the car was given medical attention and does not seem to be injured.

The accident caused a traffic jam along the road.

Contractors and the SCDF officers worked together to remove the fallen tree so as to restore traffic condition.
