Train service was reported to be delayed along North-South Line (NSL) on Friday morning (13 October) by commuters, however, there was no official announcement made from Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT) on the matter.

Many commuters took to social media to express their disappointment. The first tweet on the service disruption was made at 7.53 am, when one of the commuters, xlcliangx wrote that the train was moving slowly along NSL towards Marina South Pier after Ang Mo Kio.

At around 8 am, some commuter tweeted that there were announcements made on the platform by SMRT, stating that additional time needed due to train fault.

However, one of the commuters, xlcliangx, tweeted that the fault was likely to be caused by signalling fault.

A couple of hours later, commuters complained that the delay were still taking place. However, still there was no official statement made on both at the MRT platform nor on the social media.

Many commuters tweeted their experience on the line, stating that the train were moving very slow.

Some also shared that the train stopped between two stations.

One of the commuters, najehothman, advised SMRT to train the drivers to make an announcement if there is any delay in departure.

One of Instagram user, Reenahameerah, posted a video of how slow the train was moving when she was on board.
