Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has announced that two plots of residential sites at Queenstown and Hougang area have been put up for sale by public tender on 20 April 2017. The plots of land are located at Stirling Road and Lorong 1 Realty Park.

The site at Stirling Road was first made available for sale on the Reserve List in March 2010. Originally, the site was released for sale as two smaller adjoining parcels. The two parcels were subsequently amalgamated as a single parcel for sale via the 1H2012 Reserve List.
The 21,109.5-sqm Stirling Road site is located near the Queenstown MRT Station and Ayer Rajah Expressway, close to shopping, dining and entertainment options at Queensway Shopping Centre, IKEA Alexandra and Alexandra Central.
It will be a convenient place for families with school-going children, schools such as Queenstown Primary School and Queenstown Secondary School are located within the vicinity, URA said.
The Stirling Road site is estimated to yield 1,110 housing units. On 10 April 2017, URA announced that it had received an application from a developer for the site to be put up for public tender. The developer committed to a bid price of not less than $685,250,000 in the tender for the site.
Lorong 1 Realty Park

The residential site at Lorong 1 Realty Park was released for sale via the Confirmed List of the 1st half 2017 Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
Located within an established residential area in Hougang, the 13,398.6-sqm Lorong 1 Realty Park land parcel is estimated to yield 50 housing units
The land parcel is well connected to Central Expressway and Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway. Hougang MRT station and Hougang Central Bus Interchange are located nearby.
The land parcel is also located near schools, recreation and commercial amenities. Future residents can also visit Heartland Mall-Kovan and Hougang Mall for their dining and retail needs, URA said.

Together, these two sites, both with 99-year lease periods, can potentially yield about 1,160 residential units, URA said on its statement.
The tender for the site at Stirling Road will close at noon on 18 May, and the tender for the Lorong 1 Realty Park land parcel will close on 1 June, also at noon.
