Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT) has announced that a new bus service in Bukit Panjang and Hillview, Service 973, will begin operations from Sunday (26 February) to enhance connectivity between Petir Road, Dairy Farm Road, Hillview Ave and Hume Ave, to the nearby Hillview MRT station.
They stated that Service 973 will operate daily (including public holidays) from 5.30am to 12.05am.

They noted that passengers may contact the SMRT Customer Hotline at 1800-336-8900 from 7.30am to 8.00pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays) or visit www.smrt.com.sg for more information.
“As part of our efforts to improve and optimise the overall public transport network, the LTA regularly reviews bus connectivity, especially when a new rail line opens,” LTA wrote.
In view of the opening of the Downtown Line 2 in 2015 and the upcoming Downtown Line 3 by end 2017, LTA stated that it is considering making further changes to the bus network to better serve the areas along the line.
More details on the changes will be announced at a later date.
