The Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat is expected to convey the 2017 Budget statement in Parliament on 20 Feb.
Member of Parliament (Holland-Bukit Timah GRC) Liang Eng Hwa, who chairs the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Finance and Trade and Industry, and GPC member, Ms Foo Mee Har, will run a pre-Budget question-and-answer session on government feedback portal Reach’s Facebook page.
The public is invited to take part in the session, which will be held on Wednesday (4 Jan), from 8 pm to 9.30 pm.
In attempt to secure views in advance of the Budget, Reach will hold a final pre-Budget listening point on Sunday (8 Jan) at Hougang Hawker Centre on Hougang Avenue 8 from 7.30am to 11.30am.
The Budget statement will be broadcasted live on television and could be assessed on the Ministry of Finance’s Singapore Budget website. There will also be live coverage on radio.
The public is invited to submit feedback until next Friday (13 Jan) by these channels:
