Singapore Police Force (SPF) alerts members of the public who receive unsolicited calls from people claiming to be government agency officials to be vigilant as they .
The Police stated that people should ignore the call as there are times where the caller asks to be transferred money. It stressed that no government agency will ask for money over the phone.
The Police ask that Singaporeans to never follow the caller’s instruction and avoid giving out personal information and bank details to callers over the phone.
The Police also reminds that personal information and bank details such as internet bank account usernames and passwords, OTP codes from tokens, are useful to criminals.

The Police also informed that members of the public can lodge a police report online without making a trip to a Neighbourhood Police Post or Neighbourhood Police Centre.
