Brunei’s Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah is here in Singapore for six days for the 4th Singapore-Brunei Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) which is held from 28 November to 2 December 2016.

YLP was started in 2013 to promote and strengthen the ties between young leaders from Singapore and Brunei.

The Home Team news wrote that Crown Prince Billah was met by Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam, and Minister of State, Ministry of Communication and Information and Ministry of Education Dr Janil Puthucheary, at the  Home Team Tactical Centre (HTTC) on 30 Nov.

The Crown Prince, who is also Deputy Inspector General of the Royal Brunei Police, watched a security preparedness exercise conducted by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) during his visit to the HTTC.

He was also informed on the SPF’s counter-terrorism competence, the national movement SGSecure and the functions of the HTTC.

The HTTC is a training facility developed together by the SPF and the Singapore Civil Defence Force to conduct more coordinated and integrated exercises between Home Team agencies.

HTTC is a three-phase project; phase one, covering 29 hectares of land, has been completed in July 2015 and opened by Mr Shanmugam in October 2015.

The SPF shared the Home Team news of the Crown Prince visit on its Facebook.
