A white Audi R8 V10 had an accident along Bras Basah Road on Tuesday (22 November) morning, ploughing through a pavement and toppling a lamp post in the process.
The accident took place right in front of Cathedral of Good Shepherd and had caused massive jam along the road.
The Land Transport Authority tweeted an alert for motorists to avoid right lane.
Some people also warned others on the social media that the road was not passable due to an accident.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, who said that it received an alert on the accident at around 6 am, the driver was injured and sent to Singapore General Hospital.
The Police later stated that the 31-year-old driver was arrested for suspected drink-driving.
According to The Straits Times, the driver lost control of his vehicle while travelling along the right-most lane of the four-lane road.
