Elderly woman found dead in Kallang River

An elderly woman was found dead, floating on the Kallang River early on Monday (21 Nov).
A member of public who was taking his morning walk near the river, saw the body floating in the water while he was passing.
Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at about 7.10am. SCDF reacted to the call and found a body of a woman floating in the river near Block 38A Bendemeer Road.
SCDF said the woman was in her 60s, and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The suspicious death is still being investigated by the police.
