A fire broke out at a PAP Community Foundation (PCF) kindergarten located at Block 519, Bedok North Ave 1 on On Tuesday evening (18 October)
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the fire at about 7.35pm and they sent two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, one ambulance and three support vehicles to the location.
The fire, which started from an air-conditioning unit, was put out by a water jet.
Approximately 40 people were evacuated from the housing block before SCDF arrived, fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The Housing Development Board wrote on its Facebook that HDB engineers had also rushed to the site and confirmed that there is no impact on the building structure.
