Tenants and shoppers were evacuated from shopping mall, Wisma Atria when a small fire broke out. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was deployed to the scene and put down the fire that resulted in no injuries.
Small fire broke out at an unit in the mall on Monday (17 October).
SCDF said that it was alerted to the incident at about 5.20 pm and the fire had been extinguished as the post was published. Tenants and shoppers were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
It also said that the cause of fire is being investigated.
A Facebook user Jho Romero posted pictures of the incident. Crowds of people who were being evacuated were seen outside the building.
