Whether it’s freebies or 40 per cent off your bill, you’ll thank us for sharing these dim sum promotions in Singapore with you.

Hands up if you, too, have been through this ordeal: Dim sum craving strikes — suddenly and forcefully. You could almost taste har gow and creamy custard bun in your mouth from memory as you salivate.

Oh, you simply must get to a dim sum restaurant, pronto. But where?

What happens next can only be described as a Todd Phillips movie. (Read: A series of unfortunate events and detours before you get to your destination — semi-unscathed.)

Instead of picking up the phone and calling the first restaurant that comes to mind, you open your MacBook instead, Google variations of “Best dim sum restaurants in Singapore 2016”.

As you scroll through endless images of dim sum, your craving grows out of control like an aggravated Hulk, and your tummy growls in protest. When you eventually do pick one and make that call, the nice lady with a peculiar accent on the other end of the line tells you she’s sorry, but they are fully booked for the day.

You say thank you in as politely as a miserably hungry person possibly could while screaming “NOOOOOO!” in your head. And you return to the blinking cursor on Google. You get my drift.

But what was the ending to this story? This writer suffered a mild dizzy spell (from the hunger); a lot of anger and, clearly, had no dim sum. With what little energy I had left, I turned to a food delivery service.

If your hand is raised, we’re here to help prevent that from ever happening again. It’s sad. So here it is, a list of dim sum promotions in Singapore that’s great on your taste buds and your wallet.

1.One Dines Free at Min Jiang, Goodwood Park Hotel

Talk about dim sum and the name Min Jiang is bound to come up. After all, the elegant restaurant has been serving some of the best Cantonese and Sichuan fare since 1982, with awards to boot.
