The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) has announced a recall of “IKO Oats Cracker with Muesli” and advises consumers who have purchased the product not to consume it.

AVA issued a press release on Friday, stating that it received a feedback from a member of the public on 30 August 2016 about a small piece of plastic wire cover in a piece of the product.

AVA stated that it has been working with the importer to investigate the matter. As a precautionary measure, the importer has voluntarily recalled the affected batch of the product while investigations are ongoing. The recall commenced today.
