Singapore Mass Rapid Transit announced on its Facebook account at around 2.30 pm, that train services along its Circle Line MRT network were affected by intermittent signalling issues this morning.

SMRT said that its engineers are working to resolve the issue. Therefore, commuters may experience an additional 1 – 2 minutes of travelling time during non-peak hours and an additional 5 -10 minutes of travelling time during peak hours until the end of service today.

It stated that more SMRT staff have been deployed to its Circle Line stations to assist passengers. Its staff will also be on board the Circle Line trains for the rest of the day.

SMRT advised all commuters who are standing on board the Circle Line trains to hold onto the handrails as they may experience intermittent braking.

This morning people were complaining on the Circle Line.
