Five men were arrested by the Police on August 10 for their suspected involvement in a riot incident at Beo Crescent near Havelock Rd.

Four of the suspects were arrested at Beo Crescent two hours after the report on the riot was made to the Police and the fifth suspect was arrested in Bukit Batok.

According to the Police, five suspects, aged between 17 and 41, assaulted a man after a dispute. The wife of the victim afterwards made a report to the police around 11 pm.

Police are still investigating the suspects, and if convicted they each may face up to seven years in jail and also a possible cane punishment.

No statement is mentioned about the condition of the victim.
