At a walkabout on Sunday morning in Nee Soon GRC, the Workers’ Party secretary general, Low Thia Khiang, took a swipe at the deputy prime minister’s remarks about Mr Low shedding “crocodile tears” over the resignation of Transport Minister, Lui Tuck Yew.

First Mr Low reiterated his views, which he had expressed when Mr Lui announced his stepping down from politics last week, that Mr Lui was someone he respected as a minister.

Translation – “I feel that it is a loss to the cabinet for his (Mr Lui Tuck Yew) departure from the cabinet, we also have lost a very hardworking minister. But I think, good advice often jars on the ear, PAP might not necessarily be able to listen it in.”
