Breaking news – Report of Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC) has been released

The number of Single Member Constituencies (SMC) has been increased by 1 to 13. The number of Group Representation Constituencies (GRC) has also been increased by 1 to 16.

The number of parliamentary seats has been increased to 89 from the existing 87 seats, comprising 13 seats from SMCs and 76 from GRCs

The estimated number of electors has been increased by 110,720 to 2,460,977 electors.

2 existing SMCs and 1 existing GRC has been removed from the boundaries. (see below)

The 5 member EBRC are;

Chairman, Mr Tan Kee Yong – Cabinet Secretary and secretary to the Prime Minister Lee Hsieng Loong.

Dr Cheong Koon Hean – Chief Executive Officer, Housing Development Board (HDB)

Mr Tan Boon Khai, – Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Land Authority (SLA)

Ms Wong Wee Kim – Chief Statistician at Singapore Statistics

Secretary, Mr Lee Seng Lup – Head of Election Department

The government has accepted the recommendation of the committee and will implement them in the next general election.

有一名网友在社交媒体上贴文诉苦,拿到新家的锁匙入屋,但不到一个月新家墙壁既然出现黑色斑点,显然是发霉了,求解释。 建屋发展局受询及此事件时表示,可能是因为在清洗组屋单位时,墙壁上接触水分过多而导致的。 网友Newme Joyce于3月30日,在脸书账号中发文表示拿到新家锁匙,但是看到墙壁出现黑色斑点的情况,感到非常惊讶。“我都还没有开始装修”。 她在贴文中附上了照片,并且要求当局给予解释。 照片中,可以看到一部分的墙壁有水渍出现,而大部分照片都有大小不一,密集的黑色斑点出现在墙壁的下半部。 文章贴出至今已经吸引了逾700个评论,已经超过2500人转发。 质疑水管破损漏水 网友在看到有水渍的墙面时,就问到是否承包商用错了材料来上色。 有的网友则贴心的发出专业看法,表示内部浮现水渍,要看看是靠近哪里的墙壁出现水渍。如果是和厨房或浴室的,或许是水管损坏了,没有修复;但是如果不是就有可能是外墙接缝有裂痕,或者来自楼上的水渍。 网友也分享了自己的经验,并且表示一定是那里附近的水管漏水了。 他们也表示建屋发展局的官员回来调查,而屋主最终都要求他们维修受影响的部分。…
