16-year old blogger, Amos Yee has apologised for his molest allegation made on Wednesday afternoon, against Mr Vincent Law, a family and youth counsellor.

At 1.30am on Friday, Amos published an apology to Mr Law on both his facebook account and fanpage,

“I am extremely remorseful for the turmoil that I have caused to Vincent and his family, for the allegations towards him that he molested me.

I am currently tendering a long, and detailed public apology to Vincent and his family, for my horrid actions. And I implore him to give me about 3 days to finish preparing it, I am a slow writer…

I understand that Vincent is a Christian and preaches the tenant [sic] of forgiveness. So praise Jesus, our holy Christ, please offer me, a 2nd chance.”

Amos was found guilty of two charges on Tuesday, 12 May, by Judge Jasvender Kaur, of obscenity and wounding the feelings of Christians in a YouTube video criticising former prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew.

Mr Law had acted as a bailor for Amos Yee on 21 April and subsequently discharged himself as bailor on 30 April, Wednesday when Amos broke the terms of his bail conditions.

In Amos’ posts on Wednesday which contained the allegation, Amos tempted reporters to turn up at Pasir Panjang MRT station where he will reveal information of how his former bailor, Mr Vincent Law allegedly molested him.

Amos never turned up for the meeting and left reporters waiting at the MRT station for hours. It was 7 hours after the allegation was made, which he then wrote that Mr Law did not molest him.

He clarified the allegation to be an act of “trolling” which he performed on the reporters from the Mainstream Media (MSM) due to the harassment he faced at his flat where he is living at.

On Thursday, Mr Law said to TOC that he would be demanding an unreserved apology from Amos and a full retraction of the molest allegation. He added that the apology by Amos has to be published on TOC and this has since been communicated to Amos’ parents.

Mr Law finds Amos’ initial clarification being insincere and does not absolve him fully from the molest allegation, as Amos writes in the post, “And Vincent Law didn’t really molest me“.

Failing which, Mr Law said that he would not hesitate to take up legal actions on the matter.

“It is not me who Amos hurt with his allegation, but it is my whole family who was deeply hurt.” said Mr Law, on Thursday.

However, the offending facebook posts on both on Amos’ facebook fanpage and account still remain. Both posts have also not been edited to reflect any clarifications.

When contacted, Mr Law said that he has no comments on Amos’ public apology to him.
