[youtube id=”WlpARRlJcQg” align=”center” mode=”normal”] Content label AMOK teams up with street wear label OBEY Clothing to tackle online negativity in Singapore.
Globally, Singapore is placed on a high pedestal. The country is viewed as clean, unique, prosperous and peaceful. However, Singapore’s online sentiment appears to be sliding towards the negative end of the spectrum.
From reports saying that Singapore is a country with the “least emotions” to articles on the citizens’ unhappiness with living conditions in Singapore.
Where is this source of negative energy originating from? Are Singaporeans really that unhappy as a nation? Does Singapore have a positive side? What can be done about it?
This led to three film makers to dig deeper about the Singaporean identity and the state of mind of Singaporeans.
The video seeks out the opinions and comments of Singaporeans from various walks of life that include Elim Chew (Founder of 77th Street), Daniel Goh (Founder of The Good Beer Company) and Bryan Huang (Professional Poker Player).
Keeping it within the independent spirit of OBEY, the mini documentary also features music from Singaporean artists Kevin Lester,
DJ KoFlow and music labels Syndicate and Darker Than Wax.
