Team Singapore para-swimmer Theresa Goh won her first silver medal at the Asian Para Games 2014 in the Women’s 50m Freestyle finals, with a time of 46.80 seconds.
This is also the first silver medal for Singapore at the Games and the third medal won by Theresa in the competition.
Gold and bronze medals went to Kazakhstan’s Gabidullina, who broke the world record at a time of 46.40 seconds, and China’s Bai Juan (46.95 seconds) respectively.
Theresa concluded her impressive showing at the competition with 1 Silver and 2 Bronzes.
Earlier in the day, the Team Singapore sailing team of Jovin Tan Wei Qiang, 28, and Yap Qian Yin, 24, won Singapore’s first gold medal at the second Asian Para Games. (link)
The medal count stands at 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.
