Blogger, Roy Ngerng Yi Ling has issued a letter of apology to the Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong through his lawyer, Mr M Ravi .
This letter of apology was sent in response to the letter of demand sent on Monday, May 19 by the PM Lee via his lawyer, Senior Counsel Davinder Singh, of Drew and Napier LLC.

The letter had originally said that Roy Ngerng has three days to accede to the demands of the letter but was subsequently extended to Friday, 5pm.
In the letter of apology, it is said that Roy Ngerng has removed the subject article from his blog along with the links to the article on his facebook page and fanpage.
Roy Ngerng also extended his apologies to PM Lee for the distress and embarrassment caused to him by his allegation of misappropriation of money from the Central Provident Fund (CPF) and hope that PM Lee would consider dropping the demand for damages.
A letter of apology has also been published on Roy Ngerng’s blog. (See here)
Apart from the apologies, Roy Ngerng has also expressed his interest through the letter of apology to PM Lee to have an open dialogue on the issue of CPF to illustrate clearly how the CPF is being used in the public’s interest.
