Labour Day Message by Democratic Progressive Party
On this year’s Labour Day, we at DPP take the opportunity to call for:
– Fairness to all workers
– Fairness to all peoples
– Fairness to all citizens of Singapore
In this tight labour market, all workers, peoples and citizens need to be treated fairly at work, in their social life, and in their political affiliations.
The workforce in Singapore belongs to Singaporeans, not to any corporates, political parties, trade unions or congresses.
Our working class should be given the space to rest adequately from work, and to live and work in a safe and secure environment.
Our peoples should have more focus on the family unit, and be entitled to resources to support family bonding throughout their entire life, for the happiness of the invidual worker, his/her family, and his/her country.
Citizens should also be given rightful freedom to pursue their own right of political aspiration in the day-to-day of their lives.
We wish every worker in Singapore, and every worker waiting for work, a Happy Labour Day!
