I would like to write to recommend to everyone to try a new card game that I have bought recently. I almost never do this but I recently came across this Singaporean product in a market where I’d never have expected a Singaporean company to ever venture into. I felt that I needed to do my part to help support and promote our brave local Singaporean entrepreneurs. So I would like to introduce everyone to the Singapore Card Game, which is Singapore’s first locally foray into the card game market.
I am no stranger to card games, having played all the popular ones (eg: Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Monopoly Deal etc) since I was young. I have always wanted to see a Singaporean card game launched specifically for our local market. When I found out about this card game through a Facebook post last week, I did not hesitate to get it straight away. I strongly believe that with the globalisation of the world, it becomes even more crucial for us to support our local Singaporean companies and their products!
Compared to the other more pricey overseas products, the Singapore Card Game was a relatively inexpensive purchase at $15 for a set. You can order the cards like I did from the SCG website at (www.sgcardgame.com). The fact that local Singaporean companies are still coming up with new products for our country gives me comfort that the Singaporean Entrepreneurial spirit is still going strong even after all these years!

The Singapore Card Game is a fast paced 2-4 player game that takes place in locations around Singapore. The locations on the cards are actual locations which any Singaporean would know. Players try to collect as many points or locations as they can while stopping the other players from doing the same. You will only require the cards to play the game but you can also buy an optional board like me.
The theme of the game is to be the most Singaporean as the one who is the most “kiasu” will usually win. This game is unique in that there is more than 1 way to win with different challenges and advantages. When I read through the instructions I was blown away at how quickly I was able to grasp the basics of the game. The Singapore Card Game is easy to learn but don’t let that make you think there is no strategy involved, far from it. There is in fact deep strategy involved in choosing what cards you should play or predicting the cards your opponents will play. I personally found that this game particularly useful at a recent dull family gathering and I would definitely recommend it to anyone finding themselves in the same boat as me.
I highly recommend everyone to check out this game. It’s only $15, and I can assure you that you will not only have loads of fun playing this game but you will also be supporting the next generation of Singaporean Entrepreneurs. Majulah Singapura!
The Singapore Card Game a great addition for any outdoor gatherings and is a great alternative to a normal deck of playing cards.
