The family of Dinesh Raman s/o Chinnaiah, who died in Changi Prison on 27 September 2010, is requesting the Attorney General Chambers (AGC) to direct the coroner to complete the Coroner’s Inquiry into Dinesh’s death. (For in depth story refer to here)

The family has appointed M Ravi as their lawyer to seek the re-opening of the Coroner’s inquiry over the actual cause of Dinesh’s death.

M Ravi’s law firm released the below letter to the press on Wednesday afternoon and gave the following statement, “Given the gravity of the circumstances of Dinesh’s death, his family seeks that the Coroner’s Inquiry be re-opened. It is in the interest of transparency and justice that a public and independent inquiry into Dinesh’s death be allowed to run its full course. His family deserves nothing less.”
