The Chevening Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Known previously in Singapore as the Raffles Scholarships, the Chevening programme offers bond-free scholarships to promising young Singaporeans. Applicants must have not studied in the UK previously. Scholarships are usually awarded for one year postgraduate courses at any university of the Scholar's choice. Support range from small financial awards for those who have other Scholarships to more substantial amounts to those who do not.

Applications for study in the 2013/14 academic year will not open until the end of 2012.
