A former principal from a well known school who has been in the education field for 15 years is being investigated in connection with a suspected internet prostitution syndicate.  Including the principal, about 80 people (including senior civil servants) are being investigated. The civil servants are from various government departments.

According to Shin Min Daily News, police busted three internet prostitution syndicates last year, and found what may be a list of people involved in vice operations.

This news comes hot on the heels of the allegations about two heads from Ministry of Home Affairs being involved with a female IT executive.

Shin Min reports that the principal is about 30 years of age, has been married for over 10 years and has a son. He stays in a luxury apartment on the east side of Singapore and has resigned since investigation began.

A teacher speaking to the newspaper said that sad to hear that the principal had left for the teacher felt that the principal had a bright future in his career. The teacher had assumed that the principal was switching professions.

Police are not able to comment further on this case as investigations related to the online vice syndicate are on-going. The government servants were implicated in the raids carried out by Criminal Investigation Department and Police Intelligence Department, against the vice syndicate in late December last year.

The online vice syndicate are reportedly well-known for their Korean girls; and it is believed that the syndicate was operating a call centre out of Bukit Timah.
