WP’s Yaw wins convincing victory in Hougang

Mr Yaw Shin Leong of the Workers’ Party beat his opponent from the People’s Action Party convincingly with a better-than-expected vote count of 64.81 per cent.

In 2006, Mr Yaw had led the WP team in Ang Mo Kio GRC which snatched almost 34 per cent of thee votes from the PAP team led by Mr Lee Hsien Loong.
