TOC has confirmed that not all Group Representation Constituencies (GRC) may be contested in the coming General Election. The opposition parties showed little interest in contesting Marine Parade, Sembawang and Tanjong Pagar constituencies at last night’s opposition strategy meeting. TOC also understands that as a result of Mr Chiam See Tong indicating that he intends to run in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC and not defend his seat in Potong Pasir, a three-cornered fight might be brewing in Potong Pasir. A follow-up strategy meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, for the opposition parties to iron out their differences over who should go where.
