TOC Cassetted – Not A Political Party!

You are invited to the non-political of the year – the coming out party of The Online Citizen! That’s right! We are coming out! We are stepping out from standing under broad daylight to… well, standing under broad daylight! Except of course, we can now legitimately solicit for donations to keep TOC running.

So yes. This isn’t a political event. We are not holding a forum for political parties to share their views. We are not gathering at Speaker’s Corner to – according to our beloved Prime Minister – ‘let off steam’ at unpopular government policies. The only thing remotely political is our Poli-Tees which will be on sale!

This is a funding-raising event. Anyone who wishes to publicly declare donations to The Online Citizen, as long as you are a pink-identity-card carrying citizen, can come and put your name down and make history! No amount is too small! We even accept rupiahs! (Ok wait. If a Singaporean citizen gives rupiahs does that count as foreign donation?)

But if you’re coming for the fun and games, that’s fine with us too. In fact, we’ve got a lucky draw with a special prize to give away, as well as a decidedly non-political political quiz! We will also be launcing a new TOC initiative called…. well you will find out if you come. Plus, you will be entertained by a special performance by Chief Editor Joshua Chiang’s own band The UnCassetted!

That’s right! It will be such an exhilarating experience that you will have to give yourself a Cooling Off Day afterwards!

So come down. Don’t be afraid. ‘Cos it’s NOT a political party. Really.
